Hi, I am Akhil, a gameplay and AI programmer with a focus on systems that make players feel something.
I am drawn to games where mechanics carry meaning, soulslike combat where every decision has weight, horror where tension comes from the AI rather than the scripting, and multiplayer where the interaction between players creates the experience rather than the content.
My work spans reinforcement-learning boss AI, procedural maze generation, server-authoritative multiplayer networking, motion-matched locomotion, and physics-based combat across both Unreal Engine 5 and Unity. I build things from scratch, read the documentation, and figure out why something broke before I fix it.
I document my engineering decisions in devlogs because I think the process of building something is as interesting as the thing itself. If you want to see how the sausage is made, the devlogs are worth a read.
I hold an MSc in Game Development (Programming) from Kingston University with a Distinction.
Passionate about action games, horror, and anything that respects the player enough to make them think.
